Rainbow Rangers in Rainbow Land

[One day Rainbow Brite is sitting around in the color castle, looking deep
in thought. Twink walks up to her.]
Twink: Rainbow? What's wrong?
Rainbow: I've been thinking Twink.
Twink: About what?
Rainbow: Well, there are a group of humans on Earth called Rainbow Rangers.
Twink: <confused> Rainbow... Rangers?
Rainbow: Yes. They work hard to protect the colors that we bring to earth.
Twink: Like when that big duck tried to suck the color out of the rainbow we
were on?
Rainbow: <nods> Yes, they get rid of the ones that come to Earth and try to
destroy the color that we worked so hard to bring.
Twink: That's good.
Rainbow: So I was thinking we should invite them all here to Rainbow Land
for a party!
Twink: What?! But then that would mean we'd have to let them know about
Rainbow Land!
Rainbow: I think it would be okay. They're definitely on our side, of
course.
Twink: Yeah...
Rainbow: And we should thank them for their help!
Twink: You're right!
Rainbow: So, I'm busy, could you go down to Earth and give them this
invitation?
[Rainbow hands Twink a Rainbow-colored envelope labeled "To The Rainbow
Rangers". Twink looks at it, then looks back up at Rainbow.]
Twink: You don't mean by myself, do you?
Rainbow: No, with Starlight.
Twink: B-But-
Rainbow: Thanks Twink! And I know you'll help plan this too, right?
[Twink walks away sighing.]

[In a park (somewhere in Japan, you could assume) a guy with spiked hair
wearing Red, Ryu, and a guy with longer blue-colored hair, Miki are
walking.]
Miki: And I get to see Ami! Yay!
Ryu: Yeah.
[They meet up with a guy with really long blond hair, Makoto.]
Makoto: No... Not you again...
Miki: Makoto! You are coming to the Rainbow Ranger meeting today, right?
Makoto: <makes a face> We have meetings now?
Miki: Just come.
Makoto: No no!! I don't want to!!
Miki: Look, a rainbow. Isn't it nice?
[Makoto starts to walk away slowly, then sees Twink fall down in front of
them and screams.]
Makoto: No! Bad stuff! Yellow Rainbow Beam!
[Makoto transforms into Rainbow Yellow. Twink screams.]
Makoto/Twink: Don't hurt me!
Miki: Hey... Mako... RELAX ALREADY!
Makoto: Okay. Okay. Okay.
Ryu: What is that?
Twink: I j-just came to give the Rainbow Rangers this.
[Twink drops the envelope that Rainbow had given him, then hops off. Ryu
picks it up and looks at it with a curious expression.]

[Outside in front of the color castle, all eight color kids, Rainbow Brite,
Twink, and a bunch of sprites run around hanging up party decorations.
Canary and Lala drag in bags of confetti. Patty and Buddy hang up a huge
banner saying "Welcome Rainbow Rangers".]
Rainbow: Wow Twink. Everything looks great! Thanks for setting this up.
Twink: Yeah.
Red: So Twink, you've met them, what are the Rainbow Rangers like?
Twink: ......
Patty: Yeah, the green one? What is she like?
Rainbow: I think you'll be able to find out now, because here they are!
[A rainbow ends on the lawn of the color castle, carrying Ryu, Miki, Makoto,
a little boy about eleven in green, Akito carrying a cat, Chibi, a girl with
short purple-tinted hair, Ami, and a girl with long wavey hair in an orange
dress, Yukiko, appear on the lawn. Everyone screams "Yay!" and throws up
confetti.]
Makoto: "Yay"?
Ami: <~_~> Shut up Makoto. <^_^> This is great! I've always wanted to visit
the end of the Rainbow! <spins around>
Miki: Yeah! Thanks for inviting us, Rainbow people.
Yukiko: Rainbow Land... interesting... I didn't even know there were Rainbow
people.
Ryu: It's a party, right? Is there food?
Akito: That was cool.
Chibi: Meow!
Rainbow: These are the color kids-
[The color kids immediately go up to the Rainbow Ranger of corresponding
color, it being obvious who each are, and start talking to them.]
Red: So, you're the Red Rainbow Ranger?
Ryu: Yeah.
Red: Cool.
Ryu: Yeah.
Red: What do you do when you're Rainbow Red?
Ryu: I use swords and guns and blow stuff up and fly on a bird and blow more
stuff up.
Red: Cool.
Lala: Excuse me, you must be the Orange Rainbow Ranger.
Yukiko: That would be me! And you must be the Orange Color Kid.
Lala: Yes. Is the color orange really in danger?
Yukiko: Na. After all, they did without me for a couple of months. Now I
just keep the team together.
Lala: Oh, really?
Yukiko: Yeah!
[Lala and Yukiko laugh.]
Canary: Are you the Yellow Rainbow Ranger?
Makoto: Damn! You figured me out! How did you know??
Canary: Your hair was such a nice shade of yellow.
Makoto: Oh. Thanks.
Canary: So what is a Rainbow Ranger supposed to do?
Makoto: I don't know. But *they* force me to transform into a horrible
looking spandex costume and punch things.
Canary: Oh? I don't think that sounds nice.
Makoto: Oh! I like you! Someone agrees with me! Violence sucks!
Canary: Uh... Yes...
Makoto: So, who are you anyway?
Canary: I'm Canary Yellow, the Yellow Color Kid.
Makoto: Canary! I have a giant robot that's a yellow Canary! Well, besides
being able to ride on a big robot bird, being a Rainbow Ranger sucks.
Patty: Green Rainbow Ranger.... Green Rainbow Ranger.... Where could she
be?... <looks at Akito> Don't tell me you're the Green Rainbow Ranger!
Akito: Yeah.
Patty: The protector of my color is a little boy?
Akito: The Green Color Kid is a girl?!
Patty/Akito: Oh well.
Akito: So, how about we play a joke on everyone?
Patty: Sounds like fun!
[Akito and Patty grin.]
Buddy: Are you the... blue one?
Miki: <poses> Blue Rainbow Ranger! Miki.
Buddy: Are you sure you're the blue one?
Miki: Yes...
Buddy: How much blue is left on Earth?
Miki: Uh...
Indigo: You're the Indigo Rainbow Ranger! I just know it!
Ami: Well... Yeah, but I just call it Purple. <^_^>
Indigo: Wow! Can you teach me the Rainbow Rangers song?
Ami: Rainbow Rangers song?
Indigo: There is one, right?
Ami: No, but we can just make one up!
[Shy Violet looks around.]
Shy Violet: Five.. Six... Only six? No Violet Rainbow Ranger?
Ami: Uh... Oh, she's right there. <points near the ground>
[Shy Violet blinks and looks down at Chibi Neko-chan.]
Chibi: Meow?
Shy Violet: The protector of my color is a cat?
Chibi: <^_^> Meow!
Yukiko: So, you have a thing for guys in red?
Lala: Oh, yes. And guys in spacesuits.
Yukiko: Interesting..
Lala: What about you?
Yukiko: I like guys that are short with long hair and whine a lot.
Lala: Do you have trouble finding any?
Yukiko: Well, Makoto is kind of almost like that. <points behind at Makoto>
Lala: That's a guy?
[The surroundings are now quite loud.]
Rainbow: Hello?..
Tickled Pink: Rainbow, I don't see a Pink Rainbow Ranger anywhere.
Rainbow: I'll find her later.
[Suddenly, a rain of star sprinkles, all being green seen to fall from the
sky. Everyone and everyone's clothing turns green. Akito and Patty start to
laugh.]
Akito: <in-between laughing> Hey guys... What are you all doing wearing our
color?
Makoto: <whining> Why is there mold on my clothes?
Ami: <very angry> Akito....
Rainbow: Patty.... <~_~>
[Rainbow brings out a white star sprinkle and uses it to remove the green
color. Everyone cheers.]
Rainbow: Rainbow Rangers, we would like to welcome you to Rainbow Land and
thank you for your hard work done at protecting the rainbow.
[Everyone cheers and makes random noises.]
Makoto: <sings> When I was in elementary school... They asked me what I
wanted to do when I grew up... I never said go to the end of the rainbow and
talk to midgets!! Lalalala!
Ami: <holding her ears> Shut up Makoto!
Makoto: <continuing> Lalalala!! And I never said wear Spandex either.
Ryu: Come on Miki..
[Ryu and Miki grab Makoto.]
Makoto: Hey... Wait... STOP!!
[Ryu and Miki throw him in the stream.]
Ami: <aside to Indigo> Yeah, that's what it takes sometimes.
Rainbow: Thank you. Oh.. And that's all. Enjoy our party here in Rainbow
Land!
Akito: So, what should we do now?
Patty: How about we-
Miki/Buddy: No no no no...
Miki: Akito, please...
Buddy: Patty, haven't you had your fun for tonight?
Tickled Pink: Where is the Pink Rainbow Ranger?!
Akito: PINK!!! NO!!! <faints>
Ryu: I handle all shades of red.
Tickled Pink: <;_;> No special pink ranger?
Ryu: No.
Patty: Are you okay?
Akito: Anything but pink...
Miki: His nemesis wore this ugly shade of pink.
Buddy: <nods> Oh.
Akito: Hey Patty, who's that standing behind you with the huge ugly gun? The
one that has it pointing at you?
[Patty turns around and sees Murky and Lurky.]
Patty: It's Murky!
Murky: Yes, Murky! <evily laughs>
Ryu: Bad guy?
Color kids: YES!
Ryu: Alright! Let's go!
[All the Rainbow Rangers shout out their transformation calls at once and
transform into Rainbow Rangers.]
Ryu: Rainbow Red, Ryu!
Yukiko: Rainbow Orange, Yukiko!
Makoto: <bored> Rainbow Yellow, Ma-ko-to...
Akito: Rainbow Green, Akito!
Miki: Rainbow Blue, Miki!
Ami: Rainbow Purple, Ami!
Chibi: Meow!
Rangers: Rainbow Rangers!
Murky: Your colorful suits don't scare me. Prepare for destruction, all of
you!
Miki: The immediate threat calls for immediate action.
Ryu: Right!
Akito: Green tree branch!
[Rainbow Green gets his Green tree branch weapon and starts swinging it at
Murky. Murky starts to run away.]
Ryu: Red Power Sword!
Ami: Purple Claw Sword!
[Rainbow Red and Rainbow Purple get their weapons.]
Makoto: Yellow Tweet Gun!
[Rainbow Yellow gets his weapon and uses it right away. A high-pitched
shrieking goes through the air, and everyone in the area holds their ears.]
Murky: No! Stop!
[Murky and Lurky run to the grudge buggy and quickly ride away.]
Makoto: Yeah! And don't come back either!
Miki: That's great Makoto. But...
Makoto: But?
Miki: You can TURN IT OFF NOW!
Makoto: Oh.
[Rainbow Yellow shuts off the tweet gun everything sighs with relief.]
Canary: That was great, thanks! <^_^>
Makoto: Welcome.
Ryu: Now, let's go after 'em!
Makoto: No...
Miki: I have to agree with Mako there. This is our off day.
Akito: So let's PARTY!
[Everyone cheers.]
Patty: Yeah!
Red: That was great! Do you think you could show me how to pull a sword out
of the air like that?
Ryu: No.
Lala: I bet I could hook you up with Makoto.
Yukiko: I bet I could hook you up with Akito.
Lala: <gives Yukiko a look>
Canary: Think you could show me your giant robot?
Makoto: If you're ever on Earth, stop by and I will.
Akito: I'm bored. And look at all that confetti over there. All going to
waste.
Patty: Yeah..
Akito: Yeah...
Patty/Akito: It's like they're just asking us to throw it!
[Patty and Akito run over to the huge bag of confetti.]
Buddy: I see what you have to deal with. It's kind of like that for me.
Miki: We'd be bored without these problems, huh?
Buddy: Yeah.
Ami: Okay, here's our song! Everyone listen!
Indigo: Please.
Chibi: Meow meow! <jumps into Violet's arms>
Indigo: <singing> When the bad guys come to destroy the Rainbow-
Ami: <singing> Rainbow Rangers come and kick them on their butts!
Indigo: And then they-
Ami: Blow up!
Indigo/Ami: Colorful Sentai Rainbow Rangers!
Indigo: Well...
Ami: It's a start.
[Patty and Akito suddenly somehow cover the entire area with confetti.]
Makoto: My hair!
Miki/Buddy: <laugh together>
*********************
[Twelve jokes, 25 pitchers of Kool-Aid, 40 versions of the Rainbow Rangers
song, and 4 hours later the Rainbow Rangers wave good-bye and go home.]
Ami: Wow... that was so fun!
Makoto: I agree. Someone else agrees with me.
Miki: <points at the sky> What happened to the blue color?
Yukiko: Could it be another color-hating monster?
Ryu: Let's go!
[The Rangers run off.]
