Patty's St. Patrick's Day Party
Patty O'Green smiled at her plan. She would
finish with the Saint
Patrick's Day coloring early by setting out early, then have plenty of
time
to through her party. Sneaking down the hall quietly, she
grabbed a quick
snack and set out across a previously made rainbow. It *was*
dark outside,
and early, too, so she didn't want to wake anyone up.
Earth was dark, but all was green because of the
irish holiday. Most of
the greens didn't need help, on past visits she had made sure to use
long-lasting star sprinkles, instead of normal length. With just
a few small
touch us, she was gone by dawn, and secretly setting up for her
absolutely
neat-o party. Only her froggie friend and head-sprite knew she
was back, so
that would make this party an even bigger surprise for the few who
didn't
already know about it. They set up quietly together.

Murky sat around grumpily at the Pits.
Everything was so colorful,
especially the green. "That's it! I'll spoil all of
the green star
sprinkles so that those Color Brats can't make the greens green!
Lurky, get
the Grunge Buggy!"
"Okay, Murky!" Lurky ran off,
trampling Murky on his way. After some
being run over and some name-calling, the pair was on their way.

Buddy Blue woke up and pushed his bedspread away
with a yawn. In his
sleepy eyes, he didn't ntice that something was a little different.
He
changed out of his pajamas and into his usual clothes. As he did
his morning
excercise routine he looked out of the window and saw something
strange. At
the sight of this strange thing, he rushed to the main hall in the
color
castle.
"Rainbow! Guys, wake up! I think
Patty went a bit overboard this year!"
he shouted. Each of the Color Kids and their sprites wlaked out
and looked
around. Buddy was right! Everything, even the color kids
and sprites, was
green. The only ones not astonished at this sight were Rainbow
Brite and Shy
Violet. Just then Patty burst in, beaming.
"Surprise! Happy Saint Patrick's
Day!" No one looked that happy.
"What, you don't like my work? Don't worry, everything will
return to its
normal color in twelve hours and I didn't do this to Earth. Shy
Violet
helped me. And Rainbow made a Rainbow for me to get to Earth
extra early so
that I could finish up everything here." Seeing Patty's
cleverness and the
fct that she hadn't gone crazy, a completely green party began.

As the party began, Murky was most disapointed.
Not only did he not ruin
Saint Patrick's Day, he didn't destroy all of the green color crystals
because they were put some other place for quick grabbing to head to
Earth.
Absolutely crushed that he didn't even have a chance this time, he
moped all
the (short) drive back to the Pits.
"Hey, Murky, why don't we go join the party?
There's only *one* color
today, don't that make ya happy?" asked Lurky.
"One color is one to many, Noodle
Noggin," Murky stated then he sighed,
"Of course we could just say we did this, and join in the party,
pretending
it was a party for our sucsess." Murky wanted to go to a
party.
"Okay, Murky!" Lurky turned the car
around and the pair went and joined
in the fun, astonishing Color Kid and Sprite alike.
The day was full of fun and, well, more fun.
When the sun set and normal
colors returned (and Murky fleed from the sight) everyone headed to
bed with
fond memories of the day. And so this Saint Patrick's day no one
in
Rainbowland was pinched for forgetting some green, Murky actually had
some
fun, and everyone for one day lived happily, though not ever after.
